Sports Cares Donates to Mountainside H.S. Athletics
On Monday, August 30th, Sports Cares presented the Athletic Teams at Mountainside High School with $13,000 worth of Sports equipment and uniforms. There was a huge rally on campus to celebrate the donation. Mascots from all the local professional teams were all on hand to help with the celebration.

New Superintendent Announced
Harry Mulder, School Board President of Buffalo Schools is pleased to announce that there is a special meeting of the Buffalo Board of Education on Friday, August 13, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at the BPS School Administration building at 3823 N. Curtis Street.
At this meeting the Board of Education will formally announce the hiring of Richard Belding as Superintendent of Buffalo Public Schools. A reception for the public to meet the new Superintendent will start at 4:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. at Riverside High School cafeteria/Gym. Read More...

Graduation Date for the Class of 2011
The Board of Education announced that graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2011 will occur on Saturday, June 6, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. on Platte Field, weather permitting. The move to Platte Field was facilitated by the number of students set to graduate in 2011, the largest enrollment class in the District's history.
Graduates will need to pick up their caps and gowns by June 3rd. Order forms will become available in your school's main office after Holiday Break.

2011 Commencement Speech by Eugene Mirman
This year, as usual, many high schools asked famous alumni to give the commencement speech. This year, Eugene Mirman, comedian and author of The Will to Whatevs, spoke to the 2010 Lexington High School graduating class. What's unusual is Eugene's take on life after high school: “The main difference for you, between life yesterday and life tomorrow, is you can go to the bathroom whenever you want. It’s a pretty big responsibility, but you’ve earned it.”
